Pilastro Funivia is a sandy beach located in the province of Bari.

The Ofanto river basin is comprised of the main river course and tributaries such as Marana Capacciotti and Torrente Locone. The Ofanto river experiences severe floods during autumn and winter due to heavy rainfall, while summers see very low flows. The area is primarily used for agriculture, with commercial and industrial settlements present towards the southernmost part of the basin due to the urban center of Barletta. However, the presence of a purification plant that discharges waste from civil and productive settlements into the sea could potentially cause point pollution and impact the quality of bathing water.
